Hi my name is Joanna, a self-taught artist based on the UK's South coast.  I love to create stories and characters, especially anthropomorphic ones!  My original pieces are all one-of-a-kind and made from as many reclaimed elements as possible.  When not creating I am happiest scouring forests and emporiums for useful bits and bobs.

My main inspirations are childhood and dreams, the times when our imaginations are at their most free.  As a child I was always transfixed by the illustrations in my books and the symbolism of the Pre-Raphelites showed me pictures can tell a story.  In recent years I have been excited by the pop surrealism movement and the Lowbrow Artists.  However, it is the woods and forests full of fruit and creatures that provoke the most creativity in me
